A little about Xion

Intro to Characters
Captain's blog, 29th day of June, 2011.
I would, at this time, like to tell a little bit about the characters in the book. Not all of them because so them are mention once and never again.
In order of appearance we have:
1) Baynes - this fun loving little guy starts out as the narrator or story teller but later enters the story with a much different role. He also provides most of the comic relief.
2) Vice Ashlie M'xim - M'xim is second in command of HF and makes a few appearances in the book but does not play a major role until book 2.
3) Empress Chun-Li - The leader of HF, ruler of Xion and the focal point for this book. I will go into more detail about her later.
4) Supreme Chancellor Samul C'hrls - Leader of the Star Brigade. Not much more to say.
5) Count Jonson B'rice - Leader of the Ground Militia and a trusted friend of Empress Chun-Li.
6) General Quasi Pi'nel - Second in command of Ground Militia.
7) Marquis Torpedo J'onas - Leader of the Water Militia.
8) Duke Johnston Ace - Leader of the Air Militia.
9) Ensign Snith Br'tne - Empress Chun-Li's personal assistance. Many appearances but only a minor role.
10) Chancellor McLeod S'mul - Second in command of Star Brigade.
11) Admiral Wei Zh'ong - Top Admiral in Star Brigade. Commander of Space Dock. Close friend of Empress Chun-Li.

Peace, what does it mean to you?
Has true peace ever really been obtained on Earth at anytime in history? My answer would be no. As hard as we struggle to obtain or keep peace on this world there is always someone or something pushing against us to obstruct the peace.
This was no different for the planet Xion. It is the 25th century and Xion has been at peace for about 25 years under the rule of Empress Chun-Li Xi'ang. She is a passionate woman and one who trusts very few but is very trustworthy herself. To be trusted by her is a great honor. She has at her disposal the most powerful military in the universe. Her focus for the last 25 years has been to keep peace on Xion. But, as always, there are those who would rather not have peace.
The story begins in the council chambers with a meeting of the Hydro Force High Council. This meeting is focused around the recent uprisings from a group The Clan led by Dario Oswo. We discover that The Clan has stolen one of the Hydro Force Star Brigade's star vessels. It is the struggle between Empress Chun-Li and Dario, whose true agenda is yet to be discovered, that the story centers around. After the betrayal of dear friend and several small battles Chun-Li succeeds in driving the Clan from Xion.
Dario Oswo is eventually destroyed and Chun-Li forms an unexpected alliance. In the end she is faced with a difficult decision and peace is restored to Xion.

Introduction

This is a blog I started to you all about my book. It is called Hydro Force - The Empress of Xion. This is the first in what is, so far, a trilogy. I say so far because I didn't think that there would even a second but there is and the story isn't not finished yet.
The first is published and will be available for sale as of tomorrow. The second is finished being written but not yet published. The third is the trilogy is a work in progress.
The purpose of this blog is for you the learn about a) Xion, the planet on which the book takes place, b) the characters and whatever else I decide to tell you. I hope you enjoy reading, if you have a copy or that this blog will peek your interest in purchasing the book. There are only limited copies at the moment so it is first come first serve. I will not tell what happens in the book on this blog, you will need to purchase it for that.
